Linear Motion Rolling Guides Stroke Rotary Bushing Series

STSI ST BG

The IKO Stroke Rotary Bushing is a linear motion rolling guide with a small diameter and sectional height. It can provide rotary and linear motion in the axial direction simultaneously with rotational motion. It is extremely compact, has high accuracy, and smooth motion with low frictional resistance, making it suitable for various measuring instruments, IC manufacturing devices, precision machines or other small and highly accurate parts.


Rotational and Linear Motions

A specialized design combines an external cylinder with a cylindrical raceway and balls that are incorporated in the retainer, making rotary and linear motion in the axial direction possible simultaneously with rotational motion.

Super Precision

After the raceway surface of the external cylinder and shaft are heat treated, they receive an ultra-precision finish and are set to zero or a slight pre-load state by incorporating high precision steel balls. This provides extremely high accuracy in both rotary and linear motion.

Super Small Size

Tiny balls incorporated in a thin external cylinder result in a very small diameter and small sectional height.

Since each component is precisely ground and adjusted to ideal pre-load conditions, extremely smooth and stable operation with low frictional resistance over a long period of time is possible.

Small Rolling Frictional Resistance

Incorporating a ball with high accuracy into the precisely polished external cylinder results in small rolling frictional resistance and extremely smooth rolling motion together with reciprocal motion.

Low Inertia

Since the retainer has high rigidity and is lightweight, it has low motion inertia, making it suitable for rolling motion and reciprocal motion in high-speed operations.

A Variety of Models

Standard and heavy load models are available, each with different load ratings, and each offered with or without seals. It is easy to choose the right product based on the specifications of your machine or device.

Superior High Speed Operation

Since the retainers have high rigidity and are light weight with low inertia, this series is suitable for abrupt operations that have high-speed rotary and linear motion in the axial direction.

Large Load Rating and High Rigidity

As many balls as possible are incorporated in the retainer, so the load rating is large and the rigidity is high with small elastic deformation even under fluctuating or offset loads.

Long Life

Each ball held in the retainer is arranged in a spiral formation in order to prevent it from tracing the same path. This minimizes rolling contact fatigue on the shaft and housing raceway, making stable high accuracy possible for a longer period of time.
