|1950||Established Daiichi-Kogyo Co., Ltd., with capital of ¥500,000 in Nagoya, Aichi, for the purpose of selling bearings and machine components.|
|1956||Began R&D for Needle Roller Bearings. Started selling Needle Roller Bearings via a business alliance with Nippon Thompson Bearing Co., Ltd.|
|1959||Established Himeji Factory in Himeji, Hyogo, and began manufacturing Needle Roller Bearings.|
|1963||Moved the Corporate Headquarters to Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo
Registered trademark IKO as corporate brand.
Changed company name to NIPPON THOMPSON CO., LTD.
Listed its stock on the Second Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
